Rosamund is by far the most difficult of my characters to draw. I don't know why. Maybe it's all the bones. I'd have thought regular classic features would be easier, but they're apparently not. Both of these are pencil.
The first one is horrible. It's awful. The jaw is wrong, it's too far forward, and the wrong shape, and why do I insist upon doing this 3/4 stuff when I can't execute it properly? Oh wait, I can't execute anything properly. Lulz. I hate the full length one slightly less. Tell me why it's all wrong! Criticise the drawing, term used loosely! I will not cry, indeed I will pile on hugs and gratitude! :D
Rosamund face, 3/4
Rosamund does not like big parties.
I actually like the first one best? idk. EVERYONE HAS MORE CHIN THAN ANYONE THINKS. Do not be afraid of drawing more chin! MORE CHIN.

ReplyDeleteThe rosamund face is one of your best yet :) The only bits I would alter is nose positioning, slight ear positioning and arguably her right eyesocket should be less concave. It's the curve of that part of the face - leftmost outline. Not sure if the corner of the eye should touch it either. The chin may be slightly too pointed, maybe lower the angle of the jaw?
Standing: no new faults, posture is good, neck maybe a liiiitle long, hands a tad small.
I suggest ebaying an old copy of netter's atlas. Not worth bothering with unless you can get it very cheap, but tbh any manual of human anatomy would probably help.
