Decided to have a go at something with legs, 'cause I need to practise them. Meredith has a big bum and thighs. She resents this deeply. I don't think she cares in this picture though. Am better pleased with the boots in this one, but I still need to stop being lazy and find one and sketch it a lot til I can draw the buggers. Her left hand looks wrong - I can't seem to get it right so that it looks like it's taking the weight of her body being pulled up straight by it, and it's not really a position I can reference from myself. Hmm.
Tell me what's wrong! :)

ReplyDeleteThis is good! The eye position is slightly off but I can't do profile shots so am stuck there. Possibly should be further back. Also the neck should be slimmer, you need to draw the back line separate from the hair otherwise it makes the neck look very fat. Always remember that arms and legs are very muscley. The legs position is pretty much spot on :) the balance is good, as in the pose looks natural. The forearms are a little long - hand should perhaps be a bit bigger and the forearms correspondingly shorter.
